Not sure how many of you here are into acting or voice acting, but I'm a voice actor in the industry, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the voice acting quality in anime into English dub.

For me, I don't know how they manage to do it, and I'm not sure if it's the translation or if it's the voice actor themselves, but it seems to me that the quality of the voice acting is slowly getting worse over time, specifically on Crunchyroll.

Some airing shows that make me go *yikes* are

\>More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers *Hate the male lead*

\>UniteUp! *Hate the main male lead*

\>It's Always Sunny at the Scumbag Side of the Hill *Hate the male lead*

I think the *it's always sunny at* one is way more jarring considering that the main lead (Kaito Kuroba) is voiced by Adam McArthur, who has a lot of credits behind him and has been doing English dubbing for quite some time.

Another show that felt off to me was *Ranking of Kings* (Kageki Shoujo is also not that great but it's not as popular as Ranking)

I think the quality of English voice acting for anime has been going downhill for a while, but I can't quite pinpoint it. I have to assume it's the voice actors, but if it was the translators, then what exactly is the voice actors' job?
