MY EMPLOYER PULLED A FAST ONE ON ME. FUCK YOU INGERSOLL RAND.

I work at an ingersoll rand facility in sc. I've worked here since 2021 and had made a career out of it. I make 70k a year as a technician. I went to school for mechanical engineering and the job doesn't really need an engineering degree. That's what the process engineers do. I repair air compressors, dryers, and chillers. <br><br>I got a call from management to come in to the office. I walk into the conference room and had 4 people there from inside the corporate building. I asked wtf is going on. They let me have it. They are letting go of 85% of the facility. I asked why. They told me that they don't feel I have the expertise to run the facility on my own with the few remaining employees. I told them I run the facility. I'm very good at my job and if you stuck me in any facility, I could run it because I know the logistics of it. <br><br>They told me I'm being let go. I asked when I can start my remaining 8 weeks. They told me it's effective immediately. I walked out the facility. <br><br>I was very loyal to them and very proud to represent them. When they flew me out to Chicago for training, I made sure to dress well. When I worked at Kohls, I flew to Wisconsin for training. I also dressed well. <br><br>I felt proud to work for ir. Fuck them. Fuck every person that worked there. Fuck their CEO. They fucked me over. I am a loyal person. I was very proud to be a part of the team. I was very good at my job. I was making very good money. <br><br>I feel like a piece of shit. <br><br>Yes. 8 weeks PTO plus severance, and other benefits. But I rather have a job. I have been applying like crazy. I feel like if they were so worried about me running the facility on my own, they should've gave me the chance.
