My boyfriend is giving himself credit for my achievements. How can I put a stop to this without sounding petty?

My boyfriend is an engineer of 6 years. I got my degree later than him and am currently an intern in the same field.

Recently, we went to an event that was attended mainly by people he knew. Many of these people were friends who keep up with him on LinkedIn, where he posts a lot of work-related updates.

During introductions, he told everyone that I work with him and do all the software parts of the job while he's in charge of the mechanical side. He also mentioned that I'm an intern, but that got brushed to the side as people oohed and ahhed about the "power couple" that we now are in their eyes.

I've been told by some of his friends (and even people I don't know) that he's been praising my skills and knowledge and changing the pronouns so that it sounds like he's the one who's doing it all. He's also been telling people that I'm a full time employee and not an intern.

I feel like this is very disrespectful and diminishing to my hard work, but I don't want to make a big deal out of it. What's the best way to address this issue?

**TL;DR: Boyfriend is giving himself credit for my work. How can I make him stop?**
