I talked to a pest control guy this morning. Obviously he has been doing his best to keep up with calls. He was in the middle of a call and then had to leave for another. I totally get it. I’m glad he took the time to talk to me.

He was super kind, but also old school. What helped him the most was when he had a pest that was new in the area and no one knew much about it, he’d go out to the home and work out a game plan.

I never wanted to get all personal with a stranger, but I got to a point that I wanted to explain how this all works. I felt like I would lose my mind if I didn’t explain some things.

Pest control is usually about rodents, termites, and common bugs. The seed bugs are in the top five for calls, but he has never seen anything like this and has never heard of anything like this.

I went on to tell him that this sub has been a lifesaver. Pamphlets, tips, information, how to get rid of them and prevent them.

When I said how many of you made this sub a home and how you all reach out, help, and support each other, an old man choked back tears. He said that despite the chaos and bad things in the world, there is some good too. He told me that there’s people out there who do care.

Thank you. I want to hug you all.
