Just like we can’t sustain a country where doctors and engineers can’t feed their families, we can’t sustain a country where these people just get to give up and starve to death.

I think this is something we’re all going to have to start confronting in the coming years. Because of the Baby Boomer bulge, the amount of elderly people is going to grow precipitously over the next 25-35 years. Meaning it’s going to take more and more of the national income for those elderly to just exist. Elderly people cost a lot of money because they don’t produce income and they consume a lot of healthcare and a lot of other things from the economy.

This is going to be a problem for the US, particularly, because the US healthcare is so expensive. So, things are going to get much more expensive in the coming years. We’re going to have to find ways to pay for these things. Meaning we’re going to have to have higher taxes to pay for these things. Meaning we’re going to have to find ways to make sure that all Americans are productive, and contribute to the economy in order to afford these things. For example, we’re going to have to find ways to make sure people with disabilities can contribute as much as they can, or we’re going to have to find ways to treat disabilities so people can get back to work. We’re going to have to find ways to get those with chronic illnesses contributing back to society, or find ways to cure these illnesses. We’re going to have to find ways to make sure people in prison can contribute to the economy, or find ways to not send as many people to prison. We’re going to have to find ways to make sure the elderly can contribute longer, or find ways to help them live shorter, healthier lives.

Because what we can’t do, is have people just sit around and slowly starve to death because they’re too expensive. OAN, there is just the moral element to this. I’d rather die than live in a society where I know people are just being left to starve to death because they’re too expensive. And I think that’s the view most people have. So, when we run into these decisions, we’re always going to end up choosing to spend more money to help people. If we don’t find ways to make these people productive, we’re going to run out of money. Not necessarily because we’re overspending, but because the economy just won’t be big enough to handle these people being supported. So, we need to find ways to make sure that everyone can contribute.

They’re several ways we could do this. We could give people jobs through the UBI program, helping them contribute to their communities. We could find ways to make education cheap and easy, so people can get the best careers possible. We could find ways to push private businesses towards hiring people with disabilities, or find ways to get the government to hire these people. We could increase funding to science, so we find ways to cure chronic illnesses and find ways to make people live healthier lives.

There’s a lot of different solutions to these problems, and they’re all going to be very difficult to implement in a political system that is based on disagreement and winners and losers. But, we’re going to have to do it. Because the alternative is to let people starve to death, slowly, while sumo wrestlersloffing twinkies in front of them.

If you think what’s happening in Israel is bad, just wait until we have to start having these fights in the US.
