American here, what's the deal with plane food?

I've been bragging to all my European friends about having just returned from a trip to the US and they all started complaining about the food on the plane ride.<br><br>Now yes, I've lived in Poland for 3 years and I know the food culture over here is just so much better... but wow, I guess I just don't have a big of a problem with it as they all do. Anyways, what are you're past experiences with food on a plane leaving from the US?
