some of you may know this, but this has been getting a lot of attention in the last few days after someone posted about it on reddit.

basically, polyphasic sleep is when you sleep multiple times every day. the amount of time that you spend sleeping can be the same or even shorter than regular sleep but you have to sleep once every 4 or 6 hours (depending on the way you do it) so you have 4 or 6 sleeps every day of 15 minute to 3 hour sleeps.

i'm thinking of trying it but i'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, i have a lot of free time right now so i think i could make it work but i'm not sure if i could keep doing it when i have work again.

has anyone tried this? is it worth it?

edit: also, i want to say that i can sleep anywhere, anytime so i'm thinking of doing it the way that has 4 one hour long sleeps, with a 4 hour gap in between each one.

i'm thinking of doing it like this:

6am - 7am
11am - 12pm
4pm - 5pm
10pm - 11pm

but i'm not sure because it would be better if i stopped sleeping at 8am but i don't think i could stay awake for 5 hours before my next nap so idk.

also, idk how to deal with weekends because i usually go out with friends during the night and stay up until 3am or something.

edit 2: i'm thinking of trying it during the week and then sleeping normally during the weekends.
