Philosophy as a discipline was once highly respected and thought of as an important part of society. Unfortunately, philosopher's have since been outed by scientists, who have shown they can not only search for truth, but produce meaningful things. Is there a future for philosophy? Is philosopher's even useful anymore? If so, what should philosopher's do?

**EDIT:**

Wow, this blew up! Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts. I'm going to claim, based on the few dozen comments that I saw (I couldn't keep up), that the majority of people think philosophy has a place in the future. The most common suggestion I think was that philosophers should work alongside scientists, guiding their research.
