So I'm on holiday right now in Spain, and just about at my wits end. I don't even know what to ask Chambers about this, as I don't even know what to do.

So, here's my issue. Airbnb owner asked me to pack him a sandwich, but I think he's gone a little crazy.

Here's the story: I'm staying in an apartment on my own. It's a pretty big place with 3 bedrooms, 4 people could stay here comfortably. There's an adjacent apartment owned by the same person, they have a connecting door. I think the owner lives there, but I'm not sure. It's a bit weird, but was a really good deal for the price.

The guy seems nice, always making sure I have everything. It's been a bit weird, nothing too crazy, but I think he might be lonely or something. The reason I was staying here, and not with my friends in an all-inclusive resort, was to have some time to myself, but yesterday something really weird happened.

Owner asked me if I would pack him a sandwich. I was a bit confused, it was morning, breakfast time. There's a little corner shop a block away. I went and picked up some bread, cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, and water. Made him a couple of sandwiches. It was a lot less weird than I'd thought it would be, was sort of nice actually to have someone to take care of.

Then he asked me again the next day. I thought it was a bit weird, but figured at least he's letting me stay here cheap. So I went to the shop and made him some sandwiches.

And again the next day. This is going on since yesterday. I don't know if he's playing a trick on me or something. I just don't get it. I've been running out of excuses to go to the shop, he keeps asking for stuff with more and more ingredients. I finally asked him why he keeps making me pack him sandwiches. He said we have an agreement. He lets me stay in his apartment for a cheap price, but I need to do a few favours. I don't know what to do. I agreed to the cheap price, but I never agreed to pack him sandwiches.

Is this some weird scam? Do I call the police? Should I just keep packing him sandwiches and let him continue to live in his little delusional world where we have an agreement?

What are my legal options? What are my moral obligations?

He's been staying with a friend for a few nights, but he said he's coming home tomorrow. I don't want to ruin my relationship with him, but I just don't know what to do.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Edit: This got a lot more attention than I thought it would. I'll address a few things.

Some of you think I'm making this up. I can't prove I'm not, so I'll just say that I'm not. This is a real situation.

Some of you are saying I'm defending my abuser. Not sure where the hell you got that from. Just because I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt doesn't mean I'm defending him. If I was defending him, I wouldn't be here asking for help.

Some of you are saying I'm lazy for not reading his profile carefully enough. Maybe I didn't do the best, but he seemed like a nice guy. It's not the first time I've stayed in an Airbnb with someone living next door, and it's always gone fine before.

Some of you are saying I'm lazy for not trying to clear up the misunderstanding sooner. Again, maybe not the best on my part, but I'm stressed out, and I've never had to deal with something like this before.

Some of you say I shouldn't have just rolled over and started packing sandwiches, which I agree with you on. Its not the right thing to do.

I've never been in a situation like this before. I don't want to ruin my holiday, I don't want to ruin my relationship with my host, and I don't want to be taken advantage of.
