does anyone else get rewarded by shoplifting?

Unfortunately for me my shoplifting happened at the same time as my drinking. At one point i was arrested 4 times in one year and had my drivers license revoked. I was a dumb teenager who was also in a rush to grow up. There’s a lot of reasons why someone becomes a shoplifter. But I believe it all boils down to a reward. <br><br>When i was at my worst i was on a high. I was rewarded every time i got away. I stole for the rush and not to sell what i stole for money. I’d never do that now, because i’m older and wiser. But the last time i ever got in trouble for stealing was in 2013 when i was 23 years old. I only got in trouble that one time by the police. I’ve been caught by stores plenty of times, but only one time did they call the police. <br><br>Each time i got away, i was rewarded. I learned that stealing was an easy way to get what i wanted. The reward was getting away and not having to pay for it. But each time i got away, it made me a little bit more brave. So the reward is also a trap. I was being rewarded and punished at the same time, but i didn’t realize it until i got older. <br><br>If you’re a shoplifter, or if you used to be one, did you shoplift for a reward?
