I'm from Canada and I agree

I'm from Canada, and I've spent the last 5 years working in a crisis center, my job is to run the suicide hotline and statistics. Because of this I've had my fair share of suicidal callers, and at least 1/3 of the time they are in a crisis and making impulsive decisions, and want to kill themselves in the most painless way possible, and that is usually with guns, I've had callers beg me to get the government to reform, as they wouldn't need to work on their mental health and they could just end it all with a good pill, now if guns were banned, the only way you would be able to get them would be through the black market, and it would be to costly, and it would give the person enough time to think it all through, and normally this is enough time to get through the crisis, and the urge to kill themselves has gone away, I would also like to state, that I don't think the government should just take peoples guns, that would be ridiculous, if you own guns, you should be able to keep them, you just shouldn't be allowed to sell or buy new guns, I would also think that the government should work on getting rid of the illegal guns, to help decrease the amount of guns in circulation, this way, there would be less guns, if you already own a gun, your opinion is irrelevant, because you already have a gun, and it's not as if they can make you give it up, and the people who are against reform don't have a opinion worth listening to, because they don't care about the safety of people, and they are risking peoples lives, just so they can keep something that doesn't really even serve a purpose, if you own a gun, for only one of two reasons, hunting or protection, you can just use a crossbow, I've been hunting with a crossbow my whole life, and I would also use one for protection, they're safer, more accurate, and they're generally just better, so if you're against this, you're the problem, because you're making the decision to potentially kill someone, just so you can keep something you don't even need, you would rather kill somebody than protect them, and that makes you a horrible person, if this were to happen, I can confidently say that there would be less suicides, and less shootings, and there would be safer, less violent communities, and if you think that this isn't true, your naive, I've spent years reading the statistics, and I've spent years talking to people who are making horrible decisions, and they all say the same thing, kill myself the easiest way possible, and people know that guns are the easiest way, and they would make that impulsive decision a lot less, if guns were banned, because it would involve effort to get one, and if they're willing to go through the trouble of getting a gun illegally, they will go through the trouble of getting something else, that's just as lethal, and they will likely make a decision just as bad, or worse, and that would be BOMBS, and that is much more dangerous, and it affects many more people, because one suicide bomber can kill hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands, if guns were banned, and someone got that urge to kill themselves, and they were making impulsive decisions, they would probably go through the trouble of getting some pills, and killing themselves in a more peaceful way, and it would be something that isn't as lethal, and would kill far fewer people, and it just proves that you don't need to kill yourself in the most lethal way possible, and people are so dumb, and they think that they can completely stop that, and they think they can protect people, but when they can't, and someone gets a suicide bomber, and they kill hundreds of innocent people, they'll be saying, "well we couldn't predict that" and that's bull shit, we can predict that, it's basic human psychology, they'll just look for something else, and often times that something else will be worse, and they'll go on to kill more people than they would've, if they had just used a gun, and they'll say, "well we couldn't predict that", and that's BULL SHIT, we've been studying human psychology for years, and we can predict that, and we do, and we tell you people, and you don't listen, because you're all naives, and you think you are helping, but your not, you're just going to make things worse, and you'll go on to kill hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of people, and you'll be saying, "well we couldn't have predicted that" and that's BULL SHIT, you can't predict everything, but you can predict that, and we are, and you need to list, or you'll be going against science, and making rash decisions, and you'll go on to kill hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of people, and you'll be saying, "well we couldn't have predicted that" and that's BULL SHIT, and you'll go on to make rash decisions, and you'll go on to kill hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of people, and you'll be saying, "well we couldn't have predicted that" and that's BULL SHIT.<br><br>Edit: yes I do understand that bombers are already banned, but just as you can get an illegal gun, you can also get an illegal bomb, and it's just as easy, because neither guns nor bombs are legal, they are both banned, because they're BANNED people are so naive, and they think that just because they're banned that you cant get them, well guess what, you can, and if you think BOMBS are more difficult to get than GUNS, your delusional, and you have no idea what your talking about, because thats just not true, and you have no idea what your talking about.
