Google announces Gemini: An AI chatbot capable of performing at the level of a ‘reasonably smart 5-year-old’

Google's vice president for search Udi Manber said this week that the AI system was the "most advanced" of its type in the world. It is capable of solving very hard problems, but its abilities also have limitations. Gemini was trained using a dataset of 2.7tn parameters, including every website, Wikipedia and an entire digital library. It can hold a 10-turn conversation with a human in 12 different languages.
