What do you believe is the nature of the soul, and do you believe they are immortal?

For the sake of this question, you do not necessarily have to believe that a soul exists at all, but as philosophers, please do not think that you are disqualified to answer this question if you do not believe in souls, as you no doubt still have an opinion.<br>What do you believe is the nature of the soul, and do you believe they are immortal?
