Is it weird that my boyfriend (18M) won't let me (27F) buy him food?

Is it weird for me to buy my boyfriend food? I'll tell him I'll bring him chicken nuggets, or pizza and he'll say no, it's okay, you don't have to. Or if I try to order him food he'll say no I'll go get it myself.<br><br>I guess we're both introverted and like our own company but yes at times I want to care for him in the way that a partner should and give him something he likes and he'll say no. <br><br>It doesn't matter what it is, he'll always say the same thing. You don't have to give me anything, or, "You don't have to take care of me" and that's what I want to do, take care of him.<br><br>I asked him why and he said it's embarrassing to have a woman buy him food, but he's not in a financial crisis. He just doesn't like to let people do things for him.<br><br>How would you feel if you wanted to care for someone but they'd always say no? I'm a bit confused here cause obviously I feel embarrassed and I don't know what to think of it honestly. <br><br>He doesn't want to be looked at as caring or delicate and that's what I'd like to do. I want to show I care for him with food.
