My husband is a 'leftist' yet he supports Jeffrey Toobin and Boothe Jones. This is super triggering for me.

My husband made the comment that Jeffrey Toobin deserved to keep his job. I asked him why? He hasn't done anything to get it back and I would be fired if I did that at work. My husband thought this was an overreaction. I was like you can't imagine being a woman in the workplace. We were to discuss and the topic came up about Boothe Jones being a sex addict. My husband thought that was an excuse. At this point I was super frustrated and reminded him that I am a survivor of sexual assault and that made it worse. His response was to 'educate yourself' that sex addiction is a thing. What the fuck is wrong with him? He went on to say I should think about therapy to get over my past trauma. Not him, I because his comments were triggering and gross to me. Honestly I don't know what to do at this point.
