CMV: Elon Musk is a horrible human being and I hope he ends up destitute

I know, I know, very intelligent and nuanced argument. But I want to see if anyone here can change my mind. Elon Musk has been a horrible CEO for Twitter, and I’m seeing a lot of posts saying things like “I wish he ran out of money so his family couldn’t afford anything” or “I don’t care if Elon Musk goes bankrupt”. <br><br>Every time a person I’m friends with or an acquaintance on social media posts about any of his failures, they always have to attach the part about how they want him to be ruined because they seem to think that their post won’t be seen as valid if they don’t. <br><br>I don’t like Musk either. I wish he was out of the public eye at this point, but I don’t think his failures should be celebrated. It’s not as if Musk actually affects any of us in our daily lives. Yes, he has millions of dollars, but Jeff Bezos also has millions of dollars, and I don’t see people wishing Bezos would lose everything. <br><br>I just don’t get why it’s so popular to wish horrible fortune on other people. Wishing for that is extremely negative, and no one in the public eye affects me on a personal level. <br><br>So if you think that people are over criticizing Elon Musk and that the wishes of him losing everything are unfounded and petty and negative, post your reasons why! <br><br>EDIT: I see a lot of comments about how he took out loans to save his company. Does that mean he didn’t use any of his own private money?
