Best advice I got was from an old chambers post.

I don't know the users name but I can paraphrase what they said and it helped a ton.<br><br>"I hate the fact that both schools and parents strive to make everything enjoyable. When I was a child, both my parents and school tried to make me enjoy learning by making it "fun". However, I quickly figured out that when I didn't enjoy learning, no one cared, and I could easily slack off. I ended up going to a trade school and doing well but if I had the opportunity to do it again I would put in more effort in high school and go to a 4 year university." <br><br>This is from 2018 and I remember reading it on this sub in 2020 when I was taking a bunch of AP classes and getting 70s. It made me question why I was doing subpar when the best I could do, and studying for the AP classes made me feel better and more confident about the material. I'm doing much better now and it only takes me about an hour less of studying as well. I would've never thought about this mindset shift if it wasn't for this post and I'm proud of myself. You can too. Make your future self proud.
