What can I do now to help me stop drinking in 10 months?

**TLDR:** I (43M) have been drinking alcohol every day for the last 3+ years. I've decided I need to stop drinking alcohol completely and I'm currently on month 10 of a 13 month plan to get sober. I've made some progress but need to do more. What can I do for the next 3 months to set myself up for the best chance at success?<br><br>​<br><br>I (43M) have been drinking alcohol every day for the last 3+ years. Lately I've been drinking a pint or more of whiskey every night, and usually 1-3 beers before getting home from work, plus whatever I drink at lunch or during the day on weekends. I've decided I need to stop drinking alcohol completely but I don't think I can handle stopping cold turkey, so I'm currently on month 10 of a 13 month plan to go from drinking a pint of whiskey every night to drinking none. Below are the steps I've taken so far, but I don't think I've done enough to succeed at actually quitting drinking.<br><br>**Month 1:** Reduce my drinking from 1 pint to 3/4 pint<br><br>**Month 2:** Reduce from 3/4 pint to 1/2 pint<br><br>**Month 3:** Reduce from 1/2 pint to 1/4 pint<br><br>**Month 4:** Reduce from 1/4 pint to 1/8 pint (I've also cut back on the beers)<br><br>**Month 5:** Reduce from 1/8 pint to 1/16 pint and cut back more on drinking during the day (now I don't drink during work hours)<br><br>**Month 6:** Reduce from 1/16 pint to 1/32 pint and I've cut back on beers to either 1 or 0<br><br>**Month 7:** I stopped drinking whiskey and switched to dark rum. I'm still drinking 1/32 pint and 1 beer<br><br>**Month 8:** I reduced the beers to only on Fridays or the weekend<br><br>**Month 9:** I switched to spiced rum, reduced quantity to 1/64 pint, and only drink on Fridays or the weekend<br><br>**Month 10:** I switched to coconut rum, still 1/64 pint but I only drink it on Fridays or Saturdays<br><br>Now I'm thinking about what to do for the last 3 months of my plan. I don't feel like I'm any closer to actually quitting drinking. I've reduced the amount of alcohol but I still crave it. I still look forward to drinking every week. I don't want to drink anymore but I don't know how to get there.<br><br>What can I do for the next 3 months to set myself up for success at quitting drinking for good?<br><br>I'm open to anything at this point.
