How can i avoid repetitive lines of code, or parts of code that i can reuse in other parts of the program in different functions?

I was in a code review and one of the comments was that i was writing repetitive lines of code. Now i had no idea what they meant even though i went through all the comments, so if someone has an example or an answer for me please help.
