AITA for refusing to tell my parents why our neighbour is a monster and why I am terrified of him after I caught him getting into my room at night?

I'm 17 and I live in a two story house with my parents. My room and my parents room are in the first floor. The 2nd floor is currently being rented out to a 19 yr old guy. We have a small room in the 2nd floor that serves as a common laundry room. My parents asked me to do the laundry and I went upstairs for the laundry room. I was shocked to see our neighbour trying to get into my room. I felt uneasy and I asked him what he was doing. He panicked and made a BS excuse saying that I had left the laundry room keys inside and he was trying to get it for me. He did have the keys with him. I felt uncomfortable and ran away. I told my parents that our neighbour is a sick pervert who was trying to get into my room. I am really scared of him now. My parents got mad and wanted to know what I saw. I just repeated that the sick pervert was trying to get into my room and he is a monster. My Dad was really mad and said that if the guy was doing something bad, I should have dealt with it instead of telling them. My Mom said that I did not make sense and they were confused. They said that I am acting weird and they think I did not tell them everything. I said that I don't want to tell them but I insisted that the guy is a sick pervert. My older brother was visiting and he pressed me to tell them and I told him to F off. My parents said that they are going to ask the guy if I keep making weird accusations. I told them to F off and I don't care what they think. My parents said that they are going to call my brother's wife to the house and she can help them to deal with me. My Mom said that they need to know what I saw in order to see if they need to call the police.
