I've been lurking through this sub and the comments are full of people complaining about how expensive everything is. It seems like nothing but that. I started looking on other chambers and other websites, and they all seem the same.

I just want to live a more simple life as I'm almost 40 and I'm scared I'm running out of time. I'm getting tired of this fast paced world. I'm not overly wealthy and I want to do more living and less working.

I'm preparing myself to sell my house as the mortgage is just too high. I'm thinking about downsizing and it scares me. I love my home and its near a beach. I'm going back to the house I grew up in and live a more simple life. I'm just so incredibly tired of constantly working and barely scraping by.

I'm sick of my job and I'm sick of being broke. I just want to live. I want to go camping, hiking, whatever. I want to live for me. I'm sick of living for others.

Sorry this is so long, I just don't know where else to go. Is it possible to live a simple life when you're poor? Does anyone else struggle with this? Is there a way out of living paycheck to paycheck? I'm so exhausted.
