The Mountain View City Council is considering a plan to build more homes and apartments in the city. In December, the city council held a discussion on the plan, but 40 residents of the city spoke out against it.

They say that the city is already too crowded, and new construction would ruin the neighborhood. They are also worried about the traffic and noise that would come with it.

Several residents argued that Google, the city's largest employer and one of the area's largest landowners, was not being held to account in any way. Google does not guarantee apartments for employees, and this was pointed out by some residents.

The city council is expected to make a decision on the plan in January.
