First off, sorry everyone for my less than perfect English grammar. I'm not native English speaker.

I (26M) am currently working as teacher for mentally disabled kids, which is rewarding, but very high stress. I like the job, but I'm not sure how much longer I can pull it off. Therefore, I'm thinking about a change of careers. I always had a faint interest in IT, especially in Cybersecurity. My dad was a IT specialist, so I'm very familiar with the work environment. Also, I know that the prospects for this job are very good, since it always in demand. Not to mention that these jobs pay very well in many countries.

But I'm not sure if I should go for it. It's a long training to get into IT (4 years in my case at a university), which of course is a long time to invest in a specialization to become obsolete at the end of it. But the worst part is, that the problems you find as cybersecurity specialist can be easily solved with AI. So why would a customer pay me to use my brain, when AI can do it faster and cheaper? I understand, that the problems you find in IT are often complex and need a human brain, but isn't AI already at a point where it can solve them?

Any thoughts? Do I have to give up on the dream to go into IT?
