And then I felt angry at men. I don't want to be angry at men, any more than I am angry at white people because of racism. I am angry at the racist system that perpetuates the oppression of PoC. I want to be angry at the patriarchal system that perpetuates women's oppression.

I don't want to blame men. I want to blame patriarchy. I want to call out patriarchal behavior. I want to highlight and dismantle patriarchal structures.

I don't want to get bogged down in anger at men, I want to dismantle the patriarchal system that protects the powerful and keeps down the powerless.

So I will tell men when their behavior is damaging. I will call out *patriarchal* behavior rather than attack men themselves.

I am a white person, I put my hand up to being complicit in a racist system, I want to be an ally. I am getting to grips with my complicity in patriarchal systems as a woman and I want to dismantle it as I am a woman.

I want to know if my sexism and misogyny is impacting on my work, my relationships, my worldview. And I want to change it.

I want to see all people as people, not women, men, PoC, white. I want to see and celebrate our differences and similarities and respect everyone.

I want to celebrate our individuality and our connectedness.

I want to see men as people who are also in a patriarchal system but with more privilege than me.

I want to see women as people who are also in a patriarchal system but with less privilege than men.

I want to highlight and dismantle patriarchal structures that protect the powerful and keep down the powerless.

I want to sing with CdT " you can't kill the rooster you can't kill the rooster no, you can't kill the motherfucker you can't kill the motherfucker, no"

I want to feel the energy of the rooster, I want to hear his voice, I want to hear the voice of those standing in solidarity and I want to keep pushing for change.
