I'm sure we've all seen the commentor that crops up in pretty much every discussion of a social or economic issue on chambers and says something like "you're all missing the real point, the real answer is [insert flavour of leftism here]".

I get that it's fun to try to pick apart the fundamental flaws in a system and say how it could be improved, but the thing is, no communist country has ever implemented it successfully, in fact most have collapsed into authoritarianism. The better implementations of it are often not as efficient as those of capitalist countries, they're often unable to produce even the basic necessities for their people - see Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea. Countries that mix elements of communism/socialism with capitalism are often the ones that succeed, see China, Sweden.

The best way to improve american capitalism is to improve american capitalism.
