Am I being discriminated against over my voice?

I’m a 26 year old guy that works in tech. I have a very feminine voice, that I have been made fun of since I was a kid. As an adult, it still bothers me, but I have learned to live with it.

I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, but I’m questioning that now. I recently applied to a new role and got a call from the hiring manager to discuss the position. I’ve never met the guy before and I’m not aware if he knows anything about me. He answered the phone, and when he heard my voice he paused and said “oh sorry I thought I dialed the wrong number”. He then proceeded to laugh at his own mistake and make a joke about it saying he thought he was talking to his wife. He then asked me to confirm that it was me by telling him my name.

I’m not sure if he genuinely made an innocent mistake or if this is some form of discrimination. He seemed like a nice genuine guy and I’m not sure if he would do that. But I’ve been made fun of for so long over my voice I’m worried that this is going to hurt my chances.
