I'm a big fan of stoicism, and I've found certain ideas like "your thoughts become your actions" and "the obstacle is the way" to be very empowering. I'm not stoic, but I think these ideas are very useful. What other ideas have you encountered which you find to be very empowering, but not necessarily accurate?
