Why do people hate 4chan so much?

It's a fun little place to hang out for an hour or two and chat about random shit. I don't get why people wish death upon us or say we're a bunch of sick freaks. Of course there are some asshole whose on this site but not everyone is a sick freak. If you hate us so much then why are you here? I don't get it.<br><br>Edit: I know most non channers don't go on the site. But why do people say we're all a bunch of sick freaks then? Majority rules for them I guess.
