CMV: The greatest nation in the world is a fictional place.

I'm a 25 year old American. I was born in 2006 and have only seen the U.S. go downhill. The United States is a divided nation with extreme political polarization, one party seeking to roll back human rights and the other party seeking to progressively move us forward. <br><br>The United States is consistently ranked as one of the worst developed nations on the planet in terms of education, healthcare, crime, infant mortality, and more. <br><br>We are consistently having countless mass shootings with a lack of action to prevent them. We did nothing to stop the spread of a deadly virus. We should be ashamed of the United States of America, we've sent a man to the moon, yet we can't even care for our sick? We can't even stop people from cutting down pregnant women in parking lots? We've made tremendous progress and even won wars, but now we are just a country in decline. Nothing bad will happen if you accept it. <br><br>We will never be a great nation, only a has-been. The United States is not the greatest nation in the world. You can hate America and still love it, just like how I hate myself but still love myself.
