Will I get caught if I’m caught a great distance away from the store?

So I have been booted up on a pair of 1.5oz bear spray bottle so I can protect myself from all the junkies lurking around, and I wanted to test it out so I went to Walmart tonight, Like every time I do, I conceal my item in my clothes so you can’t see it. Well tonight I was lucky that I didn’t get caught in the first place. I walked in, got to the area that I wanted to steal from and was going to put it in my clothes so I could walk out. I tried to but it didn’t fit so I collapsed on the floor and said I’m not feeling well. I got surrounded by many employees and I got off by telling them to do whatever they wanted with me and I don’t care so they said I could leave but don’t come back. I walked out and the greeter was staring at me. I asked him if I did anything wrong and he said yes, I stole something but he said “ I’m not going to do anything for you. You can go on with your life and I hope you have a great life.” So now I’m walking around the parking lot for 30 minutes to an hour. After that, I get in my car and I’m driving away. I look back and I see an unmarked car behind me. I get on shift and put the music on blast. So I’m driving for about 30 mins and I’m thinking to myself “ Like they can’t possibly do anything to me for I’m not on any camera that shows I stole something from the store. So they can’t do anything.” So now I’m at my neighborhood and I was just thinking to myself “Well actually It’s a shit ton of camera near this area so who knows what they can do.” But they chose not to arrest me so I went home and they followed me home. I was thinking they were either going to follow me to my house and then arrest me when I get out of my car but they didn’t. I parked my car in the garage and they drove off and left. I hope that I got away, because they followed me for a long distance to just do nothing with me so I’m pretty sure that I will not be seeing them tomorrow.
