A person in a group chat I am in is actually using this creative writing prompt from here

I'm just absolutely floored by this, but recently, one of my contacts in a group chat (I don't know any of them IRL, so it was the best word to use for this situation) posted a post in the "story" segment of this chat, and I recognized the story itself. The person who posted it had posted his own work, but it was not actually his work. The opening lines are exactly what I found while doing a quick Google search:<br><br>"Perplexed, the driver turned to the woman in the seat next to him and contemplated her words. “What do you mean by that?” he quizzically asked. The woman didn’t respond. She continued to quietly stare directly ahead."<br><br>I found that in a post on... r/writing_critiques. I guess I am just absolutely blown away that someone would do that. Like, I guess it isn't the worst thing in the world, and maybe they just want to use it as an idea, but is that allowed? That is the main thing I am wondering here. If they actually try to use that in a way that could actually benefit them, I'd have no problem calling them out on it because it was absolutely not their work. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
