Parasites in poppies?

Ok, so I'm no expert but I am seriously wondering. If opium pops are fed to chickens to harvest their shit for heroin, what if there are parasites in the poppies? Would they get transferred to the chickens and then the heroin users? Its not too far a stretch to imagine.<br><br>If you had parasites from poppies in your blood and looked at it under a microscope, would you be able to identify them? Is that even something that labs test for? So many questions.<br><br>Edit: So many hate comments lol, poppy haters hate the idea of heroin. But would it be plausible to have a parasite within the plant? Absolutely, yes.
