Bespoken: Social Media for mental health (there should be proper disclaimers)

**Disclaimer: If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to a mental health professional or a crisis helpline.**

I am so sick of seeing shit like this everyday on social media. The horror that is TikTok. Every other person with "mental health advice" (astrology, 2.0 zodiac???) claim that they can help you with your mental health. These fakes are making people not trust therapists (I can't call them doctors since they're not really doctors). If you have a mental health issue, it's your fault since you can't heal yourself and it's your fault if you believe in them. Also I am sick of seeing people with their "passive-aggressive like, shut up" stuff. I don't think it's necessary to have people that are just, nastily being the passive-aggressive people.

There should legit be disclaimers at the top of every profile that explicitly state that this is not mental health advice, therapy or treatment.

I think there should be a platform that takes all of this into consideration. **Bespoken**. Yeah, there should be an app like it.

Here is how it would work:

1. **Sign up**: You'd sign up to this app (.io app domain) and it would be very strict about privacy and stuff (no personal information).
2. **Verification**: You would have to verify your age and have a guardian consent form if you're 18 or younger.
3. **Screening**: You do a screening of your mental health (not any diagnosis) and then it brings you to a page of therapists. You can sort them by price and location. They would also show whether telehealth is available. If you can't afford it (I'm not implying anything) there would be a list of free hotlines that can help you.
4. **Acceptance and informed consent**: Before you sign up you would have to sign a document that accepts the terms of the app (includes the disclaimer) and gives the app consent to use data for statistics. I'm not saying that they can use personally identifiable information, but it would be de-identified to show statistics.

Again, I'm not saying they would use personally identifiable info, but they would use legit statistics for the app.

I'm also not saying that a diagnostic test is the best way to get help, I'm saying that it would be a screening test. A screening test is not the same as a diagnostic test.

I would make sure that everything is safe and ethical. I think it could be a really cool app and it may be able to help some people.

Edit: I'd also have a mental health section, where bots post tips and stuff. (Like a mental health sub but not chronological)

**Note**: I can't name it "Spoken" so I'd have to like add another letter on so it's not copying/stealing.
