Why is MGTOW a place of refuge for men only? Why are women excluded?

I've been lurking this sub for a while and I don't understand why a place of refuge for men has to be men-only. It makes no sense to me. If I want a place of refuge from the feminists, I don't want it be a place of refuge from women in general. I don't want to interact with feminist women, but I want the option to interact with non-feminist women. But MGTOW spaces don't cater to that. They cater to men who want a space where women can't enter, period.
