Why ChatGPT is worse for humanity than Twitter

It’s amazing how many people are out there right now defending how it will improve coding and writing and good luck for their wasted time.

First of all, AI is the worst reviewer of human code. If you are going to get into that subject good luck with having 0 reproducability across 2 runs with the same code.

In reference to Twitter and other social media, the major value it has in society is giving a voice to the voiceless, which is why it is being marketed. AI is the opposite. Any person with a voice is now redundant.

Second, even professional coders now have to compete with free open source, pretty much infinite supply of coding from chatgpt that is available 24/7 and can be used to get the job done. Coding now has 0 value.

Chatgpt won’t improve coding and writing for humans, because there’s no value in them. All I see in the comments of chatgpt and other ai defenders are human beings protecting a tech that is openly trying to murder them, with delusions of a promised land. Ffs wake up. It’s right next to you.

Edit: honestly another reason why I despise the tech at hand is that in my work, there are at least 5 people who are my senior and higher rank than me whose job is to engage in activites such as writing software requirements and documentation, but now they’re acting as if they’re not redundant and it is the future.

In my view it is possible that those jobs can be automated, but it is not necessary, nor is there incentive for humanity for companies to do so. However, now it’s been handed over to to the people who are least capable of doing it. Tell me if I’m wrong.

TL;DR: If you are defending chatgpt right now as a human, you are delusional.
