How do you avoid stuff cluttering your home when a child moves in with you?

We live in a townhouse with my 1 year old and I'm becoming more and more minimalist. But he is getting older and I see there is just stuff he has accumulated that I don't know what to do with. Like where do you put stuff like that? (Toy dinosaurs. Books. Clothes. Kids shoes... ) I want to be minimalistic but he needs these things. So how do others do it?<br><br>I have the same issue with my husband's hobbies. He loves woodworking and is a very creative person. But it does leave clutter around the house. So how do you minimalize an entire home. I struggle with this.
