Eminem and his so called "addiction"

This came from his name drop thread on the front page. I might get downvoted for this and I don't care.<br><br><br>I have always - and will continue to - call bullshit on Eminem and his drug use. He has made so many goddamn songs about it, he has made himself out to be some sort of enormous drug fiend who got addicted to every drug - legal and illegal - he ever put in his mouth. He has a whole discography dedicated to how he is an addict and how he needs to stop. He has made himself out to be the poster child for addiction and I think it's complete bullshit.<br><br><br>This man is in his 40s and is still making "addiction" and "sobriety" music as if - after a decade of having these problems - he still does not know how to control himself. How on god's earth can he continue to have these problems and claim he is an addict if he - after a decade of getting "sober" - is still this emotionally unregulated enough to fall into drug use every single time he has a problem. If he, after a decade of what he claims to be intense life struggles, is still using drugs instead of dealing with these problems he deserves to be called out for the bullshit he spews.<br><br><br>I don't give a shit if he is an addict, I don't care if he still has problems, I don't - entirely - dismiss addiction as a problem, but fuck this shit. He has a whole discography dedicated to how he is an addict. Boo-hoo. The fucking guy is 47 years old, has made tens - maybe hundreds - of millions of dollars, and still, after what is likely tens of millions spent on therapy, rehab, and "getting his life together" still claims that he is a drug addict. If you fuck up once, that's fine. If you fuck up 9 times after that and claim that you have not grown from those experiences then you are an idiot. If you claim to be a drug addict and make tens of millions on music that you use to display your addiction then you are a goddamn idiot. He has an entire goddamn discography dedicated to how he is addicted to drugs.<br><br><br>He claims that he is an addict because he was 600 pounds when he was high on Methadone and after he stopped he lost weight, which is why he - allegedly - was able to stop doing drugs. But then - after a decade of not smoking weed - he smoked weed and somehow started doing every drug imaginable again and he got fat! Oh my, what a tragedy. On his newest album, he raps about how he is going back to his old ways and how he is about to start doing every drug under the sun. Fuck you dawg.<br><br><br>I don't give a shit how addictive some drugs are, if you do drugs for 20 years, go to rehab 8 times, and claim that you are still an addict, and you make millions of dollars off of your addiction, you are a piece of shit. If you claim that you are a drug addict, make millions of dollars, and somehow still don't know how to not be an addict you are a piece of shit. If you claim to be addicted to every drug - legal and illegal - you touch and you still claim to be addicted you are either an idiot, a liar, or both.<br><br><br>Edit: Wow, I didn't think this would be received so well.
