It’s time for debates and my principal left me with the topics for debate.

Every debate must have a resolution. In our class I (M/Catholic/Male) am the moderator.

Among the resolutions provided was the topic God, the topic being:

“Discuss the role of religion in the life of people”

A few days ago, I gave students the topic and asked them to write a short paper on the topic.

In the discussion, not a single student was able to write a coherent paper.

It was absolute nonsense. Then I asked students to vote whether to delete this topic or not. In the end, 85% voted to remove it.

Students are actually happy and relieved.

It would be a waste of time to debate this topic.

The debate will be held at the beginning of next month and I am sure students will successfully pass it.

Every debate must have a resolution and I have to give my principal the resolutions that students have selected for the debates.

Then the principal will send it to the district.

The district administrators will then arrange for the judges and locations.

I am so glad that the district will not see God among the resolutions.
