The accounts are usually made to appear as if they are run by a young Asian woman. The images used by the scammer are stolen from Asian woman celebrities and social media influencers. They're often selling ecom products that are largely scammy. When the scammer tries to obtain an address from you, they'll claim that they can't send the address to you because it violates the privacy policy.

The scammer's MO is to purposely send the shipping address late enough that the customer service can't help you. They then use the shipping address to manipulate you into disclosing your personal information. They'll claim that they need to verify it's you or that they want it to enhance their targeting options.

They'll then use your personal information to doxx you using sockpuppet accounts disguised as "rating" or "comment" accounts that are claiming that you're doing something illegal. They'll make claims that you're doing something like money laundering, etc.

The scammers have been known to use stock images or non-existent addresses for the shipping address because they're trying to doxx you.

They're also in violation of the store policies on Facebook and Instagram. Removing them violates Facebook's anti-harassment policy, and they use that to get you banned from reporting them.
