My girlfriend and I took a drug test and now we are worried about what happens if one of us gets clean and the other doesn’t?

I’m (m28) 9 months clean from heroin, but currently doing a lot of meth and xanax. I’m in the process of getting admitted to a treatment center and one of the requirements is a drug test.<br><br>I got my girlfriend (f19) to come along so we took the test together. We got the results yesterday and she came back negative for all the drugs while I tested positive for meth.<br><br>She doesn’t use much (maybe 3/4 times a month) while I use on a regular basis (almost daily). We’re both pretty worried now as to what will happen if I get clean and she isn’t. We’ve been together for almost 3 years now and we’re both worried our relationship will change if I stay clean and she still does the drugs.<br><br>I can’t tell her to stop doing the drugs because I know that will only make matters worse. I’m scared that if I get clean and she still does the drugs, she’ll start associating me with the past and things will keep getting worse between us. <br><br>We both want to live a healthier lifestyle but we’re both struggling and can’t seem to find a way out of this mess.<br><br>TLDR - I’ve been struggling with drug addiction and recently took a drug test with my girlfriend. While she tested negative, I tested positive for meth. I'm concerned that if I get clean and she doesn't, it could negatively impact our relationship.
