CMV: The USA should allow the nation of Texas by peaceful means

Hey. I am not American but I am British. I am aware that the independence movement in Texas has been trying to get a referendum on independence for years. From what I understand the USA sort of invites people in by saying "give me your poor and huddled masses" but then just bogs them down in debt after college. The Texans want out. By all means they have a right to attempt to pursue independence. <br><br>I do not know enough about America to know whether this is feasible but it is something I am passionate about. I feel that a nation has a right to exist freely. By all means I understand that there is an issue with immigration but it's a non-issue when compared to the freedom of Texans to be governed by their own government, which in this case is the Lone Star Republic.<br><br>The USA should allow the nation of Texas to be created by peaceful means. Or else the USA is no longer the land of the free.<br><br><br>EDIT: for clarity I am a socialist, and I fully believe that Texas should be a socialist republic.
