"export captions" feature for YouTube videos

It's gr8 seeing youtube become more and more accessible to the visually impaired with auto generated captions. However, I'm constantly trying to find a (legal) workaround to download the captions for them. Just to put it in Google translate / google lens (or similar) to understand it better. I tried extensions and external apps / websites but they all have a limit and it's not always working. <br><br>Maybe it's just me but would appreciate having "export" feature when captions are available. Would you use it as well?
