Does anyone else think "foodie" culture is obnoxious?

Im sorry, but there is nothing cool about bragging about how expensive a dish was or how fancy of a restaurant you went to. For some reason I doubt that the majority of "foodies" actually care about the food itself; it seems to be more about virtue signaling how much money you have.<br><br>Edit: the people in the comments trying to come up with a reason as to why foodies are a necessary component of society are sad.
