My friend would rather die than be a dad

He's about 14 years older than me, married and without kids. He's always said if his wife were to fall pregnant, he would find a solution to the problem. He's had a vasectomy done to avoid it. <br><br>He has a step daughter and treats her very well. But he doesn't want kids. Even as a joke, he's said he would rather die than have a kid. If he were to become a single dad, he would gladly give up his entire fortune if someone was to adopt his child and take him out of the picture.<br><br>I asked him why he feels this way, he said it's because kids take up too much time and are too expensive. He also said he's too set in his own routine to change his life for a kid. <br><br>All his siblings have kids, so its not like he doesn't know what he's getting himself into. As someone whos always wanted kids, its been very interesting to see how the other half lives.
