Hello! So here are a collection of 4 poems I wrote in a theme of General Horror, and am looking for any and all criticism, so I can improve and make my work better. **Poem 1: The Last Journey Home** I am alone, cold, and tired, Two days I wandered, lost in the mire. No food or water to speak of, And no signs of life, in this barren aloof. No lights to guide me, no signs to follow, Only the horrors that dwell in this hollow. I didn’t mean to be out so late, But now here I am, lost in my fate. I am alone, cold, and tired, I can feel my life, slowly expiring. I’ll walk through the night, till I can see, The lights of home, where warmth will be. **Poem 2: The End of the World** No lights, no fire, no heat, No signs of life, no signs to greet, A world barren and cold, Forsaken by death, and mold. No sounds to be heard, no signs of strife, Only me, and this endless life. No one to hold, no one to see, Just me, and my misery. I am alone, in a world of decay, What will become of me when winter’s grey? I’m not sure, but I’ll survive, Maybe someday, I’ll reach the other side. **Poem 3: The Forest at Night** The forest is dark, the forest is deep, Where terrors reside, and monsters creep. Their screams echo, through the night, Their howls and wails, a terrible sight. The wind blows strong, the trees sway and bend, Their creaking sounds, are my only friends. No light to guide me, no signs to follow, Only horror, and hollow. I am alone, in this endless night, Where the horrors of the forest, take flight. Their screams echo, through the night, Their howls and wails, a terrible sight. **Poem 4: What Lies Beneath** No life to speak of, no signs of strife, Just me, and this endless life. No one to hold, no one to see, Just the horrors of the world, beneath me. I am alone, in this endless night, Where the shadows come, and take flight. Their screams echo, through the night, Their howls and wails, a terrible sight. I am alone, in this endless night, Where the horrors of the world, take flight. Their screams echo, through the night, Their howls and wails, a terrible sight. No lights to guide me, no signs to follow, Only horror, and hollow. The abyss below, where terrors reside, Will I journey there, or will I hide? And if I hide, where will I go? Only time will tell, what horrors I know. I hope you enjoyed it, and can offer feedback!
