CMV: Wars are pointless

I am a 10th grader so don't judge me on grammar spelling etc.<br><br>Ok so I've been wondering for a long time that what are the results of wars? When a country wins a war against the other country what does it gain? Think of it as a football match. If team A beats team B by a lot of goals, what does it get in return? The thrill of victory? And what does team B get? The feeling of defeat.<br><br>So in a war, for example, if America wins a war against russia, what does it get? Nothing. Perhaps some reputation but is that enough?<br><br>I also want to bring this topic up because the countries that have recently been winning wars are the countries that already are considered "superpower". So they gain nothing that they didn't have already.<br><br>Also I want to know what reputation does in a war. It can't protect you. For example if China attacks USA tomorrow ok fine but USA has the reputation of being a superpower. Can that do anything? No. <br><br>So my CMV is that wars are pointless.<br><br>Edit: I'm reading them and I think most people agree with the fact that wars don't only affect countries and government but people's lives are also affected. However I have not yet been convinced. So please keep posting them.
