So I’m 32 years old and I’m almost 1 year sober now and have been really just learning who I am. I’ve decided to live a minimalist lifestyle and today I learned to be grateful for a little. I volunteered to help people who are down on their luck and I was also in that situation over a year ago. I have never been more grateful. I went to the store today and bought my breakfast, lunch and dinner for $8.25 and I’m full. It’s crazy to think but I’ve never really felt that kind of feeling. I’ve been making good money but I’ve started selling random stuff I don’t need and one day out of the entire month I go out with just my cash and I felt free. I’m completely content with the idea of living in a small place, I don’t need much. I very rarely ever go out and I’m perfectly content with my life. It’s crazy to think but I’m more appreciated for the little things in life.
