AITA for not telling my wife about getting my average Joe face tattooed on my balls.

So my friend owns a tattoo shop and he and I have been friends for about 20+ years. For the last 6-8 months he has been asking if after I turn 40 if I would get a tattoo of my face on my balls. I was like sure, I guess. Well, he did it. He also posted on social media a before and after photo. It's pretty much my face on my balls. It's actually pretty comical. Well, it so happened that my wife found it and almost shit her pants. She blew up at me. I told her it was for my friend but she told me she couldn't believe I got the tattoos of my face on my balls and couldn't understand why I did it. I told her I didn't tell her, because it's just tats and I didn't think she cared. She told me, wtf...this is permanent. I told her not to worry about it, at least it's not in a spot anyone sees right? <br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>She told me, I don't get why you would do it. I told her it was for my friend, but she got mad and told me to stop with that excuse. I told her, its just tats, get over it. She told me she wasn't gonna let it go. So this has been an issue for a few days. Am I an asshole for getting the tats?
