"Less is more" is a lie. "Less" is less.

I've consumed countless hours of minimalist media. I've done all the shit. I've read the books, watched the videos, and gotten rid of everything.

It is awesome, and at the end of the day I can't feel anything but happier about it, but I'm sick of the lie that everyone is telling. I think some people really truly believe it.

Less is less, and that's the thing. It's not more. Less is less. Less is easier to manage. Less is less clutter. Less is greater accessibility to the things that are important to you. Less is being able to move to anywhere any time. Less is freedom.

The lie is 'less is more'. Can you figure out what less is "more" than? Less is "more" than *what*.

Less is not more. Less is less, and it is freedom. And I think that it is important that we see that because it helps us better understand why we are doing what we are doing.

If we say "less is more" then we are doing something really strange. We are doing something to get something more, but what is that? We get less, which is freedom. So then 'less is more' is really just 'less is more freedom' or 'less is more advantage to your life'.

Countless successful people are minimalists. Not because less is more, and I think anyone who truly believes that is not a minimalist. I think the truth is that less is less, and what we get is freedom from less, and that freedom is what is more, it is more because it consists of just about everything that is important to us, so we try to make sure we have a lot of that.
