The US Army is currently the most deadly fighting force that the world has ever seen, and they’re trained from the beginning to not engage a superior enemy when outgunned and outnumbered, because even they know that’s a dumb idea.<br><br>You think your fat ass can hold out in your little cabin in the woods with 500 rounds of 9mm? From your AR15? <br><br>The first real war the US had since Korea was in the desert, and we had our asses kicked for years on end. By a group of rebels. In a desert. Using mainly AK47 variants. Now yes, we finally had our shit together enough to squash them, but look at how much money, and time that took. The US put in decades, and trillions to squash a rebel force. And you think you and Jim Bob are gonna be able to hold out at the old cabin?<br><br>Hell even Vietnam kicked our ass for almost 20 years, and Vietnam was a real war, not some rebels in a desert.<br><br>You think you have enough ammo? Enough food? Enough water? The US army has access to essentially unlimited resources, and look at how hard it is for them to fight a real war.<br><br>Are you gonna be able to hold out for 20 years? How many pounds of food do you have? Do you have enough water? Do you have a way to treat your water? Do you have enough medical supplies? Do you even know how to treat a gunshot? Do you know how to sew shut something cut open by shrapnel? You think you have enough ammo to fight a 20 year war? 10 years? 5? 1?<br><br>And you have to remember this is the US military we’re talking about. The best of the best, the best equipped, the best trained, the most deadly force ever. And you think your dumb ass is gonna be the one that holds out?<br><br>While yes, the US military has lost some wars, it’s because of morale, and politics. But if we actually went to war, without political or morale restraints, we’d be almost unbeatable. <br><br>You think you’re gonna be able to hold out against them? Hell no. Especially with how incompetent most gun owners are. I’m not saying all-conservative gun owners are stupid and ignorant, just the ones that think they can fight the government.<br><br>And also, if your plan is to just roam around, to guerilla war them, you’re stupid too. The US army has spent decades counter rebels, they know how to deal with that, and even if they didn’t, you can find and kill rebels with few guns, they aren’t holding out in a fortified position, they’re hiding in caves, or cities, they have almost no power, they have maybe 1000 guys at most, they are usually in a fairly small area, they don’t have a huge amount of access to guns. They are also often turned in by locals, because locals don’t want to have someone like that in their city. A US wide civil war isn’t rebels, that’s a whole different thing entirely. A whole different monster that doesn’t have any of the problems that the US has when fighting real rebels.<br><br>And we haven’t even gotten to the real reason this makes no sense. If you think you have to fight the government, it’s already too late. The government has already won. They have the ability to fight a war against their own citizens, which means you’ve already lost. They’ve already made it illegal for you to own arms in the first place. They’ve already brainwashed half the nation. You have to get to the point where almost the entire nation is up in arms, and even then, it’s not really that close to being a fair fight. The government, the military, and all the brainwashed idiots, vs you….<br>And hell, even if you won, what’s the point? The government isn’t the real problem, it’s the citizens. You can’t kill the citizens, and even if you can, you just start a genocide. If you kill the government, the citizens will just make another one, and they’ll have the same problems they do now.<br><br>The US isn’t killable with bullets and blood. It’s only killable with education and knowledge. We need to teach people what freedom really is. We need to teach people what the real problems are, and how to fix them without a civil war.<br><br>The US is like a cancerous tumor, you can’t cut out the tumor with a machete, you need to go in with a finesse, and take it out with a scalpel.<br><br>If you think you’re gonna be able to beat the US military, you have no idea what you’re talking about.<br><br>Edit:<br>I see this has gotten some attention, if you’ve come from elsewhere, I just want to say that I’m not arguing that you shouldn’t own guns, I’m not saying not to protect yourself, I’m not saying that the government should be able to take your guns, what I’m saying is that you shouldn’t try to fight the military. Don’t try to fight the government. If they ever do try to round you up, and take your guns, don’t fight them then and there, do not engage them.
